Fifty years from now, Logan - the man who no longer calls himself Wolverine - will have endured many atrocities: The Marvel Universe's villains will have banded together and rid the world of its heroes. Logan's closest friend, Hawkeye, will have been murdered in cold blood right before his eyes. And driven mad by the same radiation that gave him his superhuman strength, Bruce Banner will have fathered a family of hillbilly Hulks...that eventually went on to slaughter Logan's wife and two children. But now, in the present, Old Man Logan wakes up to discover himself in a world before these atrocities, before the Wasteland. And he's going to seize this opportunity and change history to ensure that his future never comes to pass...
WrensReads Review:
The Wolverine that we know and love…
May be a little soft in his old age…
But when his country calls…
Err.. his world calls, his claws will come slashing!
Now, what if, for some weird reason, if Logan is transported in time/worlds and can change the horrible past/see how a different world is?
Well, let me back track. So bad guys took over. Good guys became bad guys. World is crap.
Hulk had children.
They are all evil. You have evil, green-super-human-things destroying whatever they want to destroy. They destroyed something very important to Logan. Logan isn’t happy. Logan comes out of retirement.
The art in this is so different in this book. I love how dark yet beautiful it is.
It can get pretty gory,
But the way things are interpreted on one page is so cool and interesting.
Well anyway, Logan is on a revenge streak, Captain America is old, “other Hawkeye” (Kate Bishop) makes a stand against Logan, Hulk had way too many children and he is also evil like most of the super heroes we have come to love and adore.
What’s next, Lemire?
