Dru is still one of my favorite characters to come out of Buffy, and this volume didn’t make me love her or hate her less.
Which was kind of a disappointment to me.
What I liked about this volume is that Dru talks in riddles like she always does and Spike is annoyed but finds it endearing. Their relationship is a little weird but they will literally light the place on fire if you wrong the other.
I know this is the wrong review to nerd out on, but this issue kind of reminded me of Cornish Pixies from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Did anyone else think of that?
So anyway, the annoying Watcher’s Counsel strikes again. We jump towards when Giles is already Buffy’s watcher. Buffy has to figure out a way to subdue these “MacGuffins” all by herself.
Which they seem small and harmless at first, but they do have a way of destruction. Don’t worry, Buffy gets back at Giles for it.
