I have the complete set of the Grimm Fairy-Tales, and there are so many that I haven’t read! They are very short, as one would know, so I have decided to read each one and give them a review. Some are very vulgar, some are very cute and some don’t even make sense. Some of them are well known fairy-tales and some have never been told. Some are fairy-tales we know but are not the same because they have been downplayed for the children.
So this musician is randomly walking through a forest looking for someone to be his companion. Three different types of animals (you’ll have to read to find out which) want to become his companion because the musician’s music was beautiful and they wanted to learn.
Well, jokes on them, because after the musician said they could be his companion he traps them in some way and runs away because he doesn’t want an animal. So instead of saying “no, sorry better luck next time,” he said yes and then trapped them and ran away.
He finally finds someone that is worthy of being his companion.
But wait: the animals escape and are hunting him down for his treachery…
Will the animals catch up? Will the musician get what he deserves? Will his companion live to tell the tale? What animals were they exactly?
This tale does not have a lesson with it. Actually, it has an anti-lesson if that’s a thing. It isn’t something that I would read to a child even though there is nothing actually wrong with the story besides the ending is just ridiculous.
