I just don’t know what it is but I feel like young adult writing these days can be summed up in dramatic writing. Ending paragraphs with a dramatic “I won’t let that happen again” or “but that isn’t who he is anymore. he isn’t the boy I used to know.” It just…
It really gets old.
I really TRULY LOVED RED QUEEN. I don’t know what it is about Glass Sword but it just seemed to want to make me feel a certain way. I wasn’t naturally pulled to anything. If anything I was naturally pulled to feeling annoyed with the cliff-hanger-like last sentences and the dramatic-ness of the writing itself.
I don’t feel like Aveyard wrote this.
Because the writing in Red Queen felt so different and actually drove me to love the characters and to feel the way that I was suppose to.
Idk. I don’t want to review this book anymore. I read enough to know the story line and to get to the twist at the end (lovely, truly lovely!). I LOVE THE STORY just not the writing in this book which LITERALLY breaks my heart because I loved the first book purely.
I’ll still give the third book a shot.
